I was sorry to see this gingerbread house retire. However, I thought the idea was worth sharing, even though this set is no longer available. You can always substitute another stamp set. Belly bands, bands that wrap around products, are so incredible popular. I have seen them around gift boxes, candles, pajama sets, housewares, etc. It is just a really cute way of dressing up packaging. I noticed that the Wilton Cookie Cutter packs are in a box wtih a 'belly band' clear cover. So, I decided to pull off the clear band and make one out of cardstock. Since these were gingerbread cookie cutters, I thought the gingerbread house from the Sweet Holidays set was perfect. Current sets from the new catalog that would work well would be Glorious Garlands (pg 33), Big on Christmas (pg 35), Flaky Friends (pg 42), etc. To make your belly band, just measure the width of the front & back, and the sides....add all those measurements together and I add 1 inch for an overlay to tape. Using a bone folder to score the sides makes the project look crisper. Try it...belly bands are really very easy!
