So, the last post was Christmas and this one is fall....gee, that's kind of how I scrapbook... no logical order whatsoever! :-) I have always had this philosophy that stamping and scrapbooking should be FUN, so I stamp in no particular order but rather indulging myself in whatever appeals to me at the moment...if that means Easter in November and Christmas in March, so be it!
Anyway, I host a swap with a group of ladies each month and one of the cards this month just blew me away! It was made by Charlene Monroe, one of my direct recruits in my stamping family! I think this is an amazing card for several reasons...
1. The layout: not your typical card
2. Technique: she masked the baskets on the inside & the pumpkins on the front
3. Coloring: watercoloring is my favorite and she did a great job!
4. The detail: notice she used the slit punch on the left side with a circle punch to 'hold' the card to the left....and the center pumpkin has crystal effects on top
